The Melbourne music scene is world-renowned for being a bubbling volcano of rock 'n' roll fire and creativity that throws up rare diamonds and musical gems. The Leaps and Bounds Music Festival honours its stars each year with its Living Legends series.

Beginning in 2014, the Living Legends feted that year were rock gods Spencer Jones, Kim Salmon and Charlie Owen. This year the honour is bestowed on another trio who are fully legendary in the eyes of their peers and music lovers.

Dave Graney and Clare Moore have ridden the musical universe with their perfectly balanced yin and yang. They have produced 30 albums including the classic "Night of the Wolverine" and "The Soft & Sexy Sound" albums as well as solo albums "The Third Woman" and "Fearful Wiggings".

In 1996 Dave was awarded ARIA best male artist (where he declared himself "King of Pop") and in 1997 the video for “Feelin' Kinda Sporty” won the ARIA best video award.

Steve Lucas and X were at ground zero when Australian punk was born, kicking and screaming.

With Ian Rilen and others, Steve Lucas formed X in Sydney in 1977, recording their first album "X-Aspirations" in 1979. Cathy Green joined on drums, and they created the classic X album "At Home With You" (1985), produced by Lobby Lloyd. Other X LP’s include X and More, Evil Rumours and "X-Spurts" and EPs, "Home Is Where The Floor Is" and "I Love Rock and Roll".

The 2015 Living Legends will be celebrated with two huge tribute concerts during the Leaps and Bounds Music Festival. The Living Legends will not be performing on the night. Instead, they will watch their peers present fascinating interpretations of their life’s work.
