Sydney prodigies Pocketwatch will release their latest EP, “Break Out”, this Friday with a high-profile show at Marrickville Bowlo with supports Liquid Zoo and Overboard. Tickets are selling here.
“Break Out” is a four-track EP produced by multiple ARIA winner Wayne Connolly that continues to showcase the band’s established power pop sound while exploring new creative directions.
“Break Out” opens with the hard-hitting track “Timetaker” and features the well-loved live staple “Drown” as its lead single. The other tracks are “Entwined,” described as “a classic power pop tune”, and “Rosemary,” a ballad with a distinct Beatle-esque touch.
Connolly has worked with You Am I, The Vines and Youth Group. The EP was recorded at Sydney’s Hercules Street Studios, known for its rich rock history.
“We’re pleased to share ‘Break Out’ with our listeners. Working with Wayne Connolly and recording in such a historically significant studio has been a rewarding experience,” says Angus Ross, lead vocalist and guitarist of Pocketwatch.
“This EP represents a meaningful step forward for us, integrating our traditional sound with new influences.”
