“Flatiron” is a shuffling mutant blues, with acrid slide guitar and rumbling distorto bass - just like most of feedtime’s songs. The terse vocal is hard to make out amid the roar but it doesn’t matter much. “Stick Up Jack” is an aural mugging with lyrics about an armed robbery and every bit as great.
The ubiquitous Mikey Young recorded it so feedtime obviously have an ear to current sounds. Let’s hope it means an album is in the offing. Buy it at any enlightened record store (Repressed in Sydney would be one) or go the label direct via this link. It comes with a download code for the turtntable-bereft.
