“Not My Girl” shakes like “96 Tears” free-falling out of a 30th-floor building. It takes just as long to hit the bottom. I like it best of the three tunes on this 45.
“Goose Step” is a straight-up punk rocker without the same swing. Flip it over and you’ll hear "In My Jungle", a primal dirge descending into dissonance. Not to be confused with Sydney’s Chinese Burns Unit, the three band members used to be based in Melbourne but now hail from Brisbane and the regional towns of Bundaberg and Gladstone. That must make scheduling practice painful.
This is OK for what it is and that's down and dirty garage rock. It leans to the lo-fi side, naturally enough, without distinguishing itself.
