One of the good things to come out of Covid was Hommus Idol, a quirky and fuzzy musical outfit from the breeding ground that is Wollongong, south of Sydney. We reviewed their debut EP here.
Hommus Idol is launching “Mile High Club”, a new single and video, with shows in April and May, kicking off this weekend.
Catch them on Saturday April 11 at Dicey Riley's in the ‘Gong with Radio Rejects, The Rimmingtons and the woinderfully named So I Says To Mable.
Friday May 29 is a show at at The Link And Pin, Woy Woy, with The Dunhill Blues and they return to home turf on May 30 with a show at Ryan's Hotel, Thirroul, with The Dunhill Blues playing an away game.
“Mile High Club” is said to be “a bit Sabbathy with a dash of QOTSA and a dollop of Cosmic Pyschos”. Judge for yourself by watching the clip or streaming it here.
